APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL PROGRAMS Foliar Applications
VERY IMPORTANT Products are designed to be foliar absorbed, therefore it is essential for maximum performance that the application is allowed to dry on the plant before watering. Those products and/or applications outlined that target soil interface or in situations where root uptake will be enhanced have been identified through a helpful reminder to lightly water in after application. For best results apply as a foliar spray early in the morning or late in the evening. Allow to dry on plant 3-6 hours before watering. Apply with 1-2 gallons of water per 1,000 FT2.
SURFACTANT The use of Grigg Brothers® Ultraplex®, at 3 fl oz per 1,000 FT2 is critical as a foundation product and should always be added to your spray tank first after achieving desired water level. Ultraplex® product in the mix. Ultraplex® will acidify water and help to reduce bicarbonate content which can work to precipitate calcium and magnesium insoluble. It has also been noted in the field when used with other manufacturer materials that product and spray efficiency improves. Product mix compatibility potential increases and a noticeable reduction of residue is realized at spray screens ad strainers improving spray application pattern and the reduced if not eliminated need for constant cleaning of spray tips. Ultraplex® is ideal to use with herbicides to maximize efficiency by reducing the potential for alkaline hydrolysis.
COMPATIBILITY Proven Foliar™ products are compatible with each other and most fungicides, herbicides, and pesticides when tank mixed at recommended rates. A jar test is always recommended as a part of standard operating procedure. The high degree of compatibility on the Proven Foliar™ line includes the ability to be mixed with Primo MAXX® as well as other foliar applied fungicides, insecticides and herbicides that do not need watered in. When mixing with herbicides consider using the lowest label rate as Grigg Brothers®
INTERVALS Unless otherwise spelled out, programs should be applied typically every 14 days. There is flexibility to accommodate differing management styles and between 1 to 3 weeks is acceptable if rates are adjusted accordingly.
MINORS Grigg Brothers® chelated straight nutrients can be added to any program as indicated by soil and tissue test results. Typical rates for adding individual micro-nutrients range between 1-3 fl oz per 1,000 FT2. For severe deficiencies, as much as 6 fl oz per 1,000 FT2.
SOILS BIO-AMENDMENT PROGRAM For sand based greens, use 1 Gallon of Bio Blend™ and 4 Gallons of Carboplex™ applied monthly and lightly watered in. For soil based greens use ½ Gallon of Bio Blend™ and 2½ Gallons of Carboplex™. This program can be rotated with the foliar program once per month
