Gordon earned his degrees from Penn State University, his B.S. in Turfgrass Management, and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Agronomy. Dr. Kauffman’s M.S. studies focused on nutrient and soil loss in runoff after core cultivation and Ph.D. studies assessed heat stress physiology of cool season grasses treated with PGR's and biostimulants. Among his duties at Grigg Brothers, Dr. Kauffman coordinates all the independent research and new product development. Prior to joining Grigg Brothers Dr. Kauffman was contracted by Syngenta Crop Protection working as a field technical and sales support specialist in the Northeast. He has teaching experience and has authored numerous peer reviewed and trade journal publications and presented lectures and seminars around the country and abroad on turfgrass physiology and nutrition.
